Her early commitment to community care was rooted in a strong Christian faith, which deepened when she met her husband, John. In 2017, Michelle and John relocated to Baltimore, bringing with them two of their eight children who were still living at home. They moved to join the ministry of a church near the Belair-Edison neighborhood. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Michelle remained steadfast in her dedication to serving others, even as their church faced closures. Undeterred, Michelle mobilized resources to provide weekly food distributions, clothing for families in need, and organized various community events and after-school clubs for children. This effort helped build a network of dedicated volunteers. Michelle founded BE Transformed, an organization committed to "transforming lives who transform their community," and established a vital partnership with the Belair-Edison School. Currently, Michelle lives in Northeast Baltimore with her husband and their youngest daughter, who is in college. Her enduring commitment to service continues to positively impact her community. |
